I have recently had to change my router, and now the above printer that I use wirelessly won't function - obviously!  So the question is how do i add this printer to the new network.

Thanks

Hi @HSO27,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've recently changed your router and need to reconnect your HP ENVY 6020 printer to a new wireless network. Follow these steps:

Using the HP App

Download the HP App:

Reset Your Printer's Network Settings:

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button at the same time until the Power button starts flashing. This will reset the network settings.

Connect Your Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Click on the plus sign (+) to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to find and connect your printer to the new wireless network.

Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

Prepare Your Printer:

  • Make sure your printer is powered on.
  • If your router supports WPS, press the WPS button on your router.

Activate WPS on the Printer:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until it starts blinking. This will start the WPS push button mode.
  • The printer will automatically connect to your wireless network. This can take up to two minutes.

Using the Wireless Setup Wizard

Open the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • From the Home screen on the printer display, find and touch the Wireless icon.
  • Go to Settings and select the Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select Your Network:

  • The printer will search for available networks. Select your network from the list of detected networks.
  • Enter the network password if prompted, and the printer will connect to your network.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
