EWS without SCAN option

Hi community,

I want to setup network scanning with my HP MFP M235sdw printer to a network folder.

To do so, I need to set it up in the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) under the option scan. But this option is not shown in my EWS.

SCREENSHOT 1: This is my HP EWS when I connect to my printer via HP Smart
SCREENSHOT 2: This is what the HP EWS should look like for me, with SCAN and SETTINGS (screenshot from the internet)
SCREENSHOT 3: HP help site. It says here that MFP printers have the SCAN option in EWS. I have an MFP printer, but the SCAN option is not displayed in my EWS.

Please help!

How does it look when you access the EWS from a web browser, not with HP Smart?

I have checked the specifications for M235sdw and that model does't have scan to network or any digital sending feature. That is the reason why there is no Scan tab in EWS

M235sdw can only scan using app

Hi Valsimot,

thanks a lot for your fast replay, even though it’s bad news. 

Can I return the printer? Network scan was one of the reason I bought the printer.
