Greetings all.
It's a password problem, or lack of my memory, I'm afraid. I have a HP Deskjet 2710e printer on which I've changed the password a few times. Aren't we meant to do that? However, from what I remember of the last password change, doesn't seem to now allow me access to my Embedded Web Server 'Network' area. To make matters worse, I'm almost positive that I do have the correct password, but I get the 'locked out' fields (Username/Password) too often now. Guess I'm wrong then)-:
Does anybody have any clues as to how the hell I'm going to get back in again please?
Thanks,
KB

Hi @Richard_Smith,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with accessing the EWS for your Printer.
Kindly refer to the steps on this link to perform a factory reset.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Good evening irwin6
Apologies for the tardiness in my response, and thank you very much for reaching out to help me. Where I'm at now is that here:
"If you are prompted to log in or enter the printer PIN, enter admin for the username (HP Laser Jets only), enter the PIN from the printer label, and then click Submit or OK. This label is typically located inside the cartridge access area or printer door".
As I've completely forgotten the password, it keeps on freezing me out. Even if I put in the PIN, just won't budge.
Really do hope you can help again please mate.
Thanks,
RS
