Hi, my question considers HP ENVY 6030 All-in-One printer.
When my printer is on and I`m not using it for a longer time during the day (e.g. couple hours) or at night, it doesn`t go to energy saving mode, the light is still on. I wouldn`t say, that it saves energy that way! Am I wrong?
I`m also an Instant-Ink programme subscriber. Does it affect my subscription if I turn off my printer for a couple days and turn it on only when I need it? Does it synchronise with HP Instant Ink service for an update automatically, while on?

Welcome to HP Support Community!
Please go through page 14 and 15 to set up sleep mode: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06584210.pdf
Does it affect my subscription if I turn off my printer for a couple days and turn it on only when I need it - No it does not.
Does it synchronize with HP Instant Ink service for an update automatically, while on? - Yes, it does.
If your Printer remains on, the Instant Ink server will receive all the updates from the Printer.

Sleep mode questions:
1. Sleep mode = Energy Save Mode - is that correct?
2. My printer is since 3 hrs on and the edge lightning is still on (see the picture attached), just like direct after turning on the printer. How do I know, that my printer is in Sleep mode? How does it save the energy that way!?Edge light status in "Energy save mode"(?)
Auto-Off issue:
Quotation from the manual: "Auto-Off is disabled when a printer’s wireless (...) capability is turned on (...)"
What is the reason, that my printer must always be on while connected with my home wireless network? Also when I don`t use it for a long time? Is there any way to change it and enable Auto-Off function even if my printer is (default) online?
How far energy (not)saving is that!? Not to mention the fact, that it - apparently - doesn`t go into Sleep Mode at all (see above).
Dear support, I kindly ask you for explaination.

Since your Printer is enrolled in the HP Instant Ink Program, it needs to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to continuously update and send information to the Instant Ink server.
