Envy 5010
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hello,

I used the HP Envy 5010 printer for month now, but suddenly the printer is not able anymore to wireless connect to laptop and iphones (airprinter). I already used several problem solutions I found online like:

- restarting printer, laptop and router

- resetting network & wifi (the blue wireless sign is not flickering and is steady blue all the time)

- connecting macbook with USB and installing all the HP programs and drivers (HP smart was already installed from the beginning and was working fine)

But I saw in a previous post to check the network utility by sending 10 pings to the printer's IP adress and this is what I got:

ping is gestart…

PING 192.168.0.221 (192.168.0.221): 56 data bytes

Request timeout for icmp_seq 0

Request timeout for icmp_seq 1

Request timeout for icmp_seq 2

Request timeout for icmp_seq 6

Request timeout for icmp_seq 8

--- 192.168.0.221 ping statistics ---

10 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss

Somebody has another idea what I can do?

Thank you in advance,

Niels

@Niels7, Welcome to HP Support Community!

100% packet loss is a clear sign that the devices are not connected or in simple words, they are unable to communicate with each other.

Refer to the document Connect to a Wireless HP Printer for help.

If you still have issues, use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
