Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Good morning, I can't connect my Envy 6020e to Wi-Fi. I followed the instructions and put it in setup mode, but it doesn't appear on the network. I tried connecting it via USB, but the same problem exists. If I install the drivers with Easy HP, I can print via USB. The data reaches the printer, but it remains stuck with a yellow light and won't print. I tried a Wi-Fi reset, a factory reset, and the same problem exists. If I turn the printer off and on again, the black and color copy buttons remain on, and the information button remains yellow. Is that correct? Thanks.

@Paolo18478, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you're having trouble connecting your HP Envy 6020e printer to Wi-Fi and it's not appearing on the network, here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:

Ensure Proper Setup Mode Activation:

  • Make sure the printer is actually in setup mode. You can confirm this by checking if the Wi-Fi light is blinking, which indicates the printer is ready to be connected to the network.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Use the HP Smart App for detailed guidance during the setup process. Ensure your mobile device or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.

Wireless Network Configuration:

  • From the printer's control panel, access the Wireless Setup Wizard to configure the network settings. Ensure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi network name and password.

Check Printer Drivers:

USB Connection Verification:

  • If you are using a USB connection, ensure that the Hi-Speed USB cable is properly connected. Both ends should be securely plugged into the printer and the computer.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • It's important to have the latest firmware. Use the HP Smart App or check directly on the printer’s embedded web server to update the firmware if necessary.

Network-specific Settings:

  • If possible, check network settings such as IP address assignments. Ensure that the DHCP option is enabled if you know your network supports it, otherwise manually assign the IP address.

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart your wireless router to refresh the network connection.

Additional Network Troubleshooting:

  • Keep the wireless access point centrally located and away from dense materials that may block or interfere with the signal.
  • Ensure your router is using a clear Wi-Fi channel, preferably channels 1, 6, or 11.

Reset Network Settings:

  • If the printer’s network settings are problematic, you may choose to reset them again through the printer’s control panel under Network setup > Restore network settings.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
