Hi there @Dustin89, and welcome to HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I'm glad to assist you today.

I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP Envy 6100 shows it's connected (solid blue light) but still reports as "not connected" on your devices. Let's walk through a few steps to resolve this:

Restart Printer and Router

  • Power off your printer.
  • Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Once your network is stable, turn the printer back on.

Check Printer IP Address

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wi-Fi Settings > View IP Address.
  • Ensure the IP address is valid (e.g., 192.168.x.x).
  • Try accessing the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by typing the IP into a browser.

Check Windows Printer Port

  • On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer > Printer Properties > Ports.
  • Ensure the selected port matches the printer’s IP (not WSD).

Update Firmware

Re-add Printer

  • Remove the printer from your PC or mobile device.
  • Re-add it using HP Smart App or Add Printer in Windows.
