Hi @Cbreyes,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

  • Which application are you printing from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Let us try these steps:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Update the printer firmware. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Thank you for your suggestion. I had already seen these indications in previous recommendations. It seems this error is quite frequent.  I have followed the indications but the problem persists.  It’s quite random and I have not yet seen the pattern (example… if it’s always a pdf or always when I print from the app). Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

it would seem to me with all the comments an errors from other users, Hp would solve the issue rather than simply give the standard turn off and restart option.

in any case, I appreciate your attempt to help.

Hi @Cbreyes,

I see that the issue is not resolved after attempting those steps.

As a last resort, let's try the reset and see if that helps.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
