@Joan104, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Error 45 on your HP DeskJet 2734e All-in-One Printer might indicate a connectivity or hardware issue. Here's what you can do to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

Check Power and Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly plugged into a power source and that it is turned on.
  • Check that all cable connections (USB, Ethernet, or power cables) are secure.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer on and see if the error persists.

Software Update:

  • Ensure that the printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart App or the HP Support website.

Check Print Queue:

  • Clear any pending documents in the print queue that might be causing a backlog.

Examine for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer’s paper tray and check for any paper jams. Gently remove any stuck paper and ensure the paper feed is not blocked.

Ink Cartridges:

  • Check the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  • Reinstall the cartridges if necessary.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
