Error 5 what does that mean???

ANY BODY, WHAT DOES ERROR 5 MEAN???????????????

I know how is put my printer back online. But of late, when I try, it tells me its not turned on.  Also, when I do turn my printer back on, it shows the green light until it is completely on, then that green light turns white.  WHY, because from there I can't get it back on wi fi.

An E5 or E6 error occurs when the scanner or printer is in an error state. Reset the printer.

1. With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

3. Wait 60 seconds.

4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer, and then plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.

unplugged like to said, printer comes back on, does its little sounds that you know its completely on. THEN the green light turn white & the information button is flashing.  I  click on it and it makes a copy of nothing that can help me to get my printer to correct its self.  My computer tells me that they can recognize my printer. Now what do I do??????
