Pavilion g6
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

The light on the keyboard that indicates if the wife is on or off is constantly on, which I can only assume means there is a problem with wifi card.  I have bought a replacement but when I put in the laptop it does not boot up as there is an error 702.  The card games the same but the product codes do not match. The product code in the computer is sps#630703 and the replacement is sps#691415.  Does this make of a difference?  The laptop is old but fit for purpose.  I have checked the drives but it does not seem to recognise there is a wifi card installed as the only drivers are for family ethernet card.  Any help we be great.

This
sounds like wireless drive related issue and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
