Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I tried to print a google sheet the printer LCD went dark and showed the following text:  “Printer Error”.  Then that it read:  “There is a problem with the printer.  Turn the printer Off then On”.  I went through that and when it powered back up, a blue screen appeared with a power symbol (the circle and vertical line point up from it) and the following code: B8BB2C92, then went bac to the aforementioned screen.

I then did a factory reset and the printer seemed to “behave” until I connected it to the WiFi.

It did that twice.

I seem to have fixed my problem by resorting factory defaults on the printer, deleting the print job that seemed to cause the error from the print queue on my computer, then restarting the printer and reconnecting to the same WiFi network it was connected to before.

How I did it with my computer and printer is detailed below.  One step, restoring the printer’s factory defaults is “time critical” because the printer seemed to produce the error and stop functioning when it connected to the WiFi network.

Here are the steps:

Restart the printer: Press the printer power button.

Restore Printer Printer Defaults:

-After the printer restarts, but before it connects to the WiFi:

-Swipe down on the printer LCD display

-Tap the settings icon in the upper left corner (looks like a bicycle gear)

-Scroll down to “Printer Maintenance”

-Tap “Printer Maintenance”

-Scroll down to “Restore Defualts”

-Tap “Restore Defaults”

-Tap “Restore Factory Defaults”

-Tap the Home icon next to the LCD display (looks like a house)

-Swipe down on the LCD display.

-Tap “Jobs” and remove any jobs that may be in that queue.

Go to your computer.

-Click the start Icon (On my Windows 10 computer it is 4 squares)

-Click on settings (bicycle icon)

-Click on “Devices Bluetooth/printers/mouse”

-Click on “Printers”

-Click on the printer that is giving you the problem.  (In my case that is the 8710)

-Click on “Open queue”

-Delete all print jobs in the queue.

-Close settings

Go back to the printer

Restart the printer - Press the printer power button

Reconnect the printer to a WiFi network.

-Swipe down on the LCD display.

-Select settings (looks like a bicycle gear)

-Scroll down to “Network Settings”

-Tap “Network Settings”

-Tap “Wireless Setup”

-Tap “Wireless Setup Wizard”

-Follow the steps in the wizard.

-Print a test document.

Hopefully this works for you!
