Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I forgot EWS username and password I set previously. Now , I am unable to access EWS at 192.168.223.1 since it asks for username and password. I have already tried pressing Wireless+Cancel button for 3 seconds , no luck.

Tell me , how to reset the EWS username and password

Hi @Saira75,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Restoring the printer network settings should reset the EWS (Embedded web server) username and password, let's try these steps:

1.) Unplug your modem/router and leave it powered off.

2.) Restart your printer, from the printer control panel,  press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button at the same time for 5 seconds. (This step will restore printer network settings to default settings and enable Auto Wireless to connect. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.)

3.) Download and run HP Easy start from here.

4.) Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the printer to your home wireless network.

Once the printer is connected to your home WiFi, access the printer EWS page and check if you can change the printer settings.

Let me know how it goes!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
