HP LaserJet M102w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently had a need to make a couple of changes to my HP LaserJet M102w device configuration but was unable to do so because I have forgotten my credentials for the device page.

I last set a password last year and now, if I try to access the device System tab (hp/device/set_config_deviceInfo.html?tab=System&menu=DevInfo), it asks me to log in.

Is there any way to reset the printer to default settings?

Every thread that I have read on this subject, gives the same instructions which are of no use to me because I have set my own username and password which I can not get around,

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Have you tried typing admin (all lowercase) as the user, then try any possible password you may configured?

The user is admin and that cannot be changed, therefore please try any possible password among the admin username.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

HI Shlomi,

Thank you for replying.

Yes, I have tried this with various passwords that I could imagine but unfortunately and on this rare occasion, I am kicking myself for not making a note of the correct combination that works.
