@Ramesh_73, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Direct Password Retrieval!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you have forgotten your HP Direct password and the default password is not working, you can retrieve or reset the password by following these steps for your HP printer:
Steps to Retrieve or Reset HP Direct Password
Locate the Wi-Fi Direct Menu:
- If your printer has a control panel display, you can find the Wi-Fi Direct settings menu to get the name and password.
- For printers without a control panel display, press and hold the Resume/Cancel button for 10 seconds. This will print a Network Configuration report that lists the name and password.
Connect to the Printer:
- On your computer or mobile device, go to Wi-Fi or wireless settings to view the list of available wireless networks.
- Select your Wi-Fi Direct printer name from the list of networks, and then enter the password you retrieved from the configuration report to connect to the printer.
Access the Printer Homepage:
- In a web browser, type 192.168.223.1 into the address bar.
- If a website security certificate displays, click Continue to open the printer homepage.
- Click Login, and then type admin for the username. If a password is required and you haven't changed it, use the WPS Security PIN which can be found by printing a Network Configuration Report.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
