My printer is hooked to an ethernet cable, but fails to connect to my instant Ink account.. I have reset my router, restarted the printer, moved the ethernet cable to a different port and restarted my laptop on the network with no sucess. I also downloaded the new HP App replacing the HPSmart app. What else should I try?

Hi @JP2023,
If the OfficeJet Pro 8710 prints over Ethernet but can't reach Instant Ink, the printer's Web Services can't get to HP's servers.
Option 1 – Check Web Services
- Print a Network Configuration page and type the IP into a browser (Embedded Web Server).
- Go to Web Services > make sure they're enabled; if they are, turn them off and on again.
- Update the printer firmware from the EWS (Tools > Printer Updates) or from https://support.hp.com/drivers.
Option 2 – Network settings
- In the EWS > Network > Wired > IPv4: if DNS is empty, enter a public DNS (e.g. 8.8.8.8) and apply.
- Check that no proxy is set (Web Services > Proxy settings).
- Restart the printer and try again from the HP app.
If the account still won't link, contact HP: https://support.hp.com/contact-hp
