Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Laserjet MFP 283
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I usually have been able to just turn my printer off and on whenever it drops off my local wireless network. This time I had to do a fresh wireless setup because the printer wasn't connecting any more.

Now the printer has found the central wireless router and the Wireless Network Test Report is all good.

However I see from the Network Summary report that the IPv4 address is not what it used to be.

My local network is 192.168.0.x but the IPv4 address showing on the Network Summary is 169.254.56.86 (same as Default Gateway).

How do I get my printer back to where it used to exist on my local network?

A couple of hours later all of a sudden the printer kicked back into action.

Must have been a network issue.
