HP All-in-One OfficeJet 4652
Chrome OS

While I was previewing to print a document, in the printer dialog box a message said after Dec. 31, 2020 my printer will no longer be supported.  I queried this in the Google community which states: Google Cloud Print, Google's cloud-based printing solution will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2021, devices across all operating systems will not be able to print using Cloud Print. We recommend that you find an alternative print solution with your respective platform's printing infrastructure.

My OS is a Chromebook and I print wirelessly to HP OfficeJet Series 4652 and am very satisfied with this printer.  I just want to print at home using my devices, and am not particularly concerned about it being with the cloud. I would like to know how to continue using both my Chromebook and HP OfficeJet printer without the Google Cloud Printer.

@Arleneduran You could use Google Cloud Print or HP Print for Chrome to print from your Chromebook. if it stops working as per the message you've shared,

You do not need to download any drivers or software from the HP website or Google to print with your Chromebook.

  • USB connection: The HP Print for Chrome app supports printing through the Chrome browser to USB connected printers. Simply connect the USB cable, install HP Print for Chrome (in English), and then follow the onscreen instructions to enable the app. Go to Printing with the HP Print for Chrome App for detailed steps and answers to frequently asked questions.

  •

  • Wireless network connection: The HP Print for Chrome app supports printing through the Chrome browser over a local wireless network. Or continue with these steps to print over a local network or remotely with Google Cloud Print
