HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3775 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I wanted to update WIFI settings after having them changed, but when I tried to it turned out I forgot the admin password to access advanced settings. I have found and tried two methods of settings reset:

1) Press and hold Power+Cancel for a few settings -> still asks for my old custom password

2) Press and hold Power and press Cancel six times -> still asks for my old custom password

How can I perform a full reset to finally get rid of that password and create a new one? Thanks.

Solution if anyone has the same issue:

1. Turn the printer on

2. Press and hold Power+Copy Color+WIFI Direct buttons for 20s. This will trigger a full reset that also removes admin password.

Hi @xzfd456,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing issues with connecting your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3775 All-In-One Printer to your wi-fi network after changing the network.

Please follow the steps listed below to restore the printer to its network defaults and then reconnect it to the network.

Step 1: Restore the printer to its network defaults.
Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button (X) from the printer control panel together for three seconds.

Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to the network:
1. Press and hold the wireless button on the printer for more than least three seconds to start the WPS Push Button method.
2. Press the WPS button on your router.
NOTE: The product begins a timer for approximately two minutes while a wireless connection is established. If the printer connects successfully, the light next to the Wireless button glows steady blue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
