HP 5520 is connected to my home network via wireless, and I print and scan via computer, tablet, and iPhone call connected to same network. The problem that I have is that the wireless network connection to my HP printer is somewhat dodgy and occasionally it simply will not connect (and therefore I can't print or scan).
I have a wired network jack close to where my printer resides, and it would be super convenient to connect the printer to the network via USB cable. Can someone confirm this can be done, and point me toward instructions on how to set it up?

Note that the problem I have with wireless connectivity is very similar to that posted by NBCOUCH on 4/4/2018 titled "hp photosmart cannot connect to network". That description of the intermittent wifi network connectivity fits my experience well. I read through that entire post, and the connectivity problem does not appear to have been resolved. If anyone is aware of a successful resolution, I'd like to hear it.

That said, I would prefer to connect my 5520 to my network via the USB if possible. So looking for guidance as to how to make that work, if indeed it is possible. I have made the connection but have not been able to find the printer on my network after multiple attempts / power down/up cycles etc.
