Microsoft Windows 11

I am using Windows 11 on my Lenovo PC.  I am unable to connect the printer to my PC.   When I select the Bluetooth icon, my printer does not appear among the Bluetooth devices.  I can print form my iPhone.  I have downloaded the latest HP driver software.  Is anyone having the same issue?

Hi @PaulSI,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your HP 6950 All-in-One printer to your Lenovo PC via Bluetooth. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Printer's Bluetooth Status: Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your printer. Some printers have a physical button or a menu option to turn Bluetooth on or off.

Ensure Printer is Discoverable: Make sure the printer is in pairing mode and is set to be discoverable. Refer to your printer’s manual for instructions on how to make it discoverable.

Update Bluetooth Drivers: Ensure that your Lenovo PC’s Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can check this through the Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start button and select “Device Manager.”
  • Find “Bluetooth” in the list, expand it, and check for updates.

Restart Devices: Restart both your PC and your printer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Check Bluetooth Settings: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices on your PC and make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Try removing any old or unused Bluetooth devices.

Add Printer Manually: If the printer doesn’t appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices, you can try adding it manually:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click on “Add a printer or scanner” and select “The printer that I want isn’t listed.”
  • Choose “Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable printer” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Reinstall Printer Driver: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer driver can fix connection issues. Go to the HP website, download the latest driver for your printer model, and install it.

Printer’s Firmware Update: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Alden4

I was able to print thanks to your advice.  I went to the Settings>Bluetooth> Printers and my device was there.  I printed a test page.

Thanks so much,

PaulSI
