Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I had to update my internet connection and along with it passwords.  Now the wireless on my HP 6978 will not work.  I've treid to go into the printer to set the new wireless but many of the items are locked by admin.  I AM the admin and I have all the passwords but it won't let me progress to change the information.  I also was going to reset to default and that too is blocked.  I've removed the printer hoping resetting it up would work to no avail.  (I used an ethernet cable to reset the printer back onto my laptop.). Please advise how I can get all these admin locks removed. TYIA
