8/28/24 Since I have received no support from HP, I now use my HP OfficeJet 8015e as a doorstop. I now use a
MFC-J1010DW as my printer. However, for 20 years I have used HP printers. I think my problem with my OfficeJet was
with the Wi-Fi polling to operate I could never get that blue light of death to stay on. Perhaps this was due to my ink subscription, which caused my printer to be polled by HP unsuccessfully and could never read my ink levels. Therefore I could never print
4/24/23 HP printer installation help request
Help, I would like to open a ticket to resolve the installation of my Officejet 8015e. I have previously been in contact via Wireless setup CRM:[edit] , but have been lost in the meantime.
To recapitulate, I have not been able to communicated with Instant Ink because:

Subject: Wireless setup CRM:[edit]
“Seems we could not connect the printer to Wi-Fi, since we are not using a 2.4Ghz connection (suggested network) it can be a problem with one of the following ports:
Incoming (UDP) ports : 137, 138, 161, 427
Outgoing (TCP) ports : 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500
Web services: 80, 443, 5222, 5223 “
This is beyond my level of expertise, and as a long-time HP customer, I can only remember the days when all we had to do was put in the installation disk and setup was done.
This inability to connect with HP re: Instant Ink status has been an ongoing problem since I:
- Changed router to a TP-link Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 router (previous router failed)
- perhaps, coincidentally, upgraded to Win 11.
- Perhaps, since my printer, Office Jet Pro 6830 is no longer supported,
- perhaps because use NordVPN, which I have disabled
I have bought a second printer, Office Jet 8015e to supplement the OJPro 6830 and eliminate the printer as an issue.
I also have second computer, an HP P6830W running Win 10 To eliminate any computer issue.
I have not fully installed the Office Jet 8015e because the blue light indicating that the wireless connection has not been made. I have left this printer NOT connected to the ethernet, presumably because HP is telling me that the wireless connection should be the first.
I am willing to have a remote connection made. Thank you for your attention.
