I can load the page anyway, but I need to agree to going to an unsafe page. Ther has got to be a better arrangement! Can I get a good certificate?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

There is unlikely a way to convince your browser to actually trust your local network.

Browser does not understand a local network.

What?

Local networks are considered unsafe, unknown, odd, or "something" that trips normal browser security.

Some browsers won't even cross that barrier and might stop with errors.

If you can convince the browser to continue -- that is,  "Accept Risk" or use other methods get past the block / error, do that.

If the browser refuses all attempts to let you pass, use a different browser with your EWS connection to your printer.

Reference

To learn more about local networks, use your favorite search engine and search "What is a local network?"
