Upgraded to HP App 20.x and HP App stopped working. Receiving error with open HP App "Enable Local Network permission for the HP app."

All permissions are set per HP instructions. (see below)

Can print documents from my computer.

When HP App first opens, a message appears that the "Estimated supply levels" are being updated.

Submitted a trouble ticket to HP support. They threw their hands up and said they could not help.

Settings:

  • Privacy & Security->Full Disk Access: Check
  • Privacy & Security->Bluetooth: Check
  • Privacy & Security->Local Network: Check

Reinstalled HP App ver 20.1.2

Mac OS: Sequoia 15.6.1

Disconnected and reconnected printer to the wireless network

Any ideas how to correct or diagnosis this issue?

I solved this problem based on a recommendation to empty the trash after deleting the HP app. I deleted the app, emptied the trash, and reinstalled the HP App. The app opened as expected. Go configure!
