HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw. We just had the router replaced because of a defect top the old router, since then I have not been able to connect top the printer via WiFi, I tried all of the steps I have read online, I tried reaching out to HP support, which doesn't exist, not even a simple chat. I don't see a place on the printer to search for the wifi networks to connect to, I have already did a reset on it, and there is still no option to connect to a wifi network, I downloaded the app to my phone to try to connect it that way and it doesn't find the printer either, this is a work printer and the laptops we use are Chromebooks and I can't download either one of the apps, they are not available in the play store or I get a message that they are not compatible with the laptop. I am at the point of frustration with this issue. When I run a wireless test I shows that there is no network connected to the printer. Please help

Hi @FFLenc,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you face Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw, especially after a router replacement, here are steps to help resolve this.

Ensure Printer Compatibility with New Router Settings:

  • Make sure the new router settings such as frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), network name (SSID), and password are consistent with the printer's capabilities. The MFP M182nw typically works with a 2.4 GHz network.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

  • On your printer, navigate to the settings menu and find the option to restore network defaults. This will clear previous network settings, allowing you to set up a new connection.

Reconfigure the Wireless Connection:

Manual Wi-Fi Setup:

  • Print a configuration page by pressing the Wireless button on the printer and selecting "Print Reports" to see current settings.
  • Use the HP Smart app or the HP Printer Setup software on your computer to guide you through re-establishing the wireless connection.

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • If your router supports WPS, press the WPS button on the router and the WPS button on the printer (or follow the instructions to connect via WPS in the printer manual). This will connect the printer to the network automatically.

Download HP App:

  • Use the HP App on a smartphone or tablet. It can assist with setup and management of the printer. The app should guide you through connecting your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.

Check Printer's Control Panel:

  • If there’s a feature to access network configuration on the printer control panel, use it to manually enter the network details. Some printers allow manual input of SSID and password.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check HP’s website for any available updates which might resolve connectivity issues.

Consult the Printer Manual:

  • Refer to the printer's user manual for any specific instructions related to connecting to a network. The manual provides detailed steps tailored to your printer model.

By following these steps, you should be able to establish a stable Wi-Fi connection for your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
