Hi @Lferguson,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
- Did any hardware changes take place on the printer?
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
You may also try the below steps.
Try this, open and close front door four times.
This should produce an engine test. See if anything prints.
If you can, plug in a network cable and see if any network lights come on.
Lights are at printer network connection.
Looks like a defective control panel, T6B80-60101.
If the print engine is working, my guess is the control panel is bad.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Elohi
Many thanks for your suggestions, ok here are my results.
First option - plug in and turn on printer and disconnect cable and press power off button for 15 seconds. Reconnect cable, printer automatically turns back on.
Result - printer power light comes on, i hear the engine running and the touch panel is still blank.
Second option - open and close the front panel four times so the print engine prints a page.
Result - Printer prints a test page of coloured lines, no text. Touch panel is still blank.
Network test - I connected an ethernet cable to my router.
Result - no lights coming on receiving data.
What do you advise now?
