HP Deskjet 300

Wired----printer HP deskjet 300----March 2006 model.

Light flashes for paper plus "E" light comes on.

I tried all the suggested fixes, none work.

What do I do next?
Buy a different printer?

I tried all of those suggestions. Printer still does not work.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.

I do NOT want to contact HP. They will only want to sell me a new printer.

It won't feed the paper is all that is wrong. There is nothing jammed. Everything is clear.

What do I do next?
Otherwise I'm going to toss it.
