I am unable to change WiFi for Deskjet 3630 printer. It is displaying a message which read "A custom password has been set for your printer. Enter the password to access the printer web interface."
How do I reset this password. HP make it impossible to contact support and the option to reset this password appear to be a well guarded secret.

Hi @Navek_modsiw,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the custom password on your HP DeskJet 3630 printer and regain access to the printer's web interface, follow these steps.
Restore Default Settings
- Turn On the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered on.
- Access the Printer's Menu: On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Cancel button (often a red "X" button) and the Wireless button simultaneously.
- Perform the Reset: Hold these buttons until the printer's lights start blinking, then release them. The printer should reset to its factory default settings, including the default password.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi: After resetting, you may need to reconfigure your Wi-Fi settings. Follow the instructions in your printer's manual or use the HP Smart app to reconnect to your wireless network.
Use HP Smart App
- Install HP Smart App: Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device from the HP Smart app website.
- Add Your Printer: Open the HP Smart app and add your DeskJet 3630 printer if it isn't already added. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your network.
- Manage Printer Settings: Once connected, you can access and change various settings, including Wi-Fi settings, without needing to access the web interface directly.
Printer Control Panel
- Open the Printer's Menu: On the printer's control panel, navigate to the setup menu (usually represented by a wrench or gear icon).
- Navigate to Network Settings: Look for a section related to Network or Wireless settings.
- Perform Network Reset: Within the network settings, there should be an option to reset network settings or restore default network settings. This will remove the custom password and allow you to set up your Wi-Fi connection again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
