I am just writting to let you know that the problem of losing the WiFi connection is beause of the "Automatic Firmware Update" which is set to "on" by default.

Go to Advanced Printer Settings and disable it.

It will stop losing the WiFi.

Hi @YannisGR3 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing that helpful solution! Disabling the "Automatic Firmware Update" feature in the Advanced Printer Settings can indeed help prevent the HP DeskJet 4220e from losing its WiFi connection. It's good to know that this fix works for you, and it may be helpful for others experiencing similar issues.

To disable the automatic firmware update on your printer:

  1. Open the HP Smart app or access the HP Printer Assistant on your computer.
  2. Go to Advanced Printer Settings or Printer Settings.
  3. Locate the option for Automatic Firmware Update.
  4. Set it to Off.

This should prevent the printer from disconnecting when firmware updates are automatically applied. Let me know if you need further assistance!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
