Only connection to iMac M1 is the issue. connection to MacBook Air M1 is fine and other apple devices. Both Mac computers running OS 13.2.1
HP downloaded software and drivers requires Mac to open as unauthorised file only. suggesting HP have compatibility problem with tis latest version of OS for iMac? yet correct version of OS is selected prior to HP download. This iMac M1 worked fine previously with the Deskjet printer and I would guess only after an OS update has it stop working. Have tried all suggested ways to connect i.e HP app and Easy Install, apple add printer methods -bonjour, or IP or Host name - all via
wifi and none complete connection. I can delete the printer from my MacBook M1 and reinstall using different methods successfully but none if these methods work for the iMac M1 - I have no reason to suspect the iMac's wifi connection as it connects to all other devices on my network. Please advise.

My post is showing OS 12vMonterey but should be OS 13 Ventura . the HP support page allows selection of OS 13 but the posting page does not (latest listed is OS 12). An example of left hand right hand I guess!
Either way the driver available for download is the same version for OS 12 and OS 13 and neither have worked for my iMac M1.

Finally found the problem -my internet hub/wifi had restricted full comunication between iMac M1 and the wifi network
after rebooting the hub the connection to the printer back on to the wifi network . All devices print but iMac scanner has to Safari Browser to scan other Mac computer don't. Looks like security compatibility .
