Hi @jptnana,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2852e isn’t connecting to your Xfinity Wi-Fi, and you don’t have a WPS button available. Let’s go through a few steps to get it connected using the setup code method.

Start the printer in Wi-Fi Setup Mode
– On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons together for 3 seconds.
– The Wi-Fi light should start blinking, meaning the printer is ready to be set up.

Open the HP Smart App on your computer or phone
– Make sure your device is connected to your Xfinity Wi-Fi network.
– Open HP Smart and click Add Printer.

Select your DeskJet 2852e when it appears
– The app will show your printer under “Set Up a New Printer.”
– Click on it to begin wireless setup.

Enter the setup code from the printer
– The app will prompt for a code.
– The code appears on the printer’s display or in the HP Smart setup screen on the printer.
– Enter it exactly as shown.

Connect to your Xfinity Wi-Fi network
– When HP Smart shows available networks, choose your Xfinity home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz recommended).
– Type your Wi-Fi password carefully to complete the connection.

Wait for the solid blue Wi-Fi light
– A solid blue light confirms the printer is successfully connected to your network.
– After this, HP Smart will finish installing the printer on your device.

Print a test page
– Use HP Smart → Printer Settings or Tools to print a test page.
– This confirms everything is set up correctly.

I hope this helps.
