HP ENVY Photo 7855 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have used HP Smart app to load drivers and connect.

Used HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.5.2 to diagnose issue.

However the Doctor app takes forever then flips me to the HP app like there is nothing wrong.

When using the Smart app - it finds the printer (it is green for online with address) and then when I select it ... it gives error message "Select a Different Printer"  Hp envy photo 7800 series must be turned on to add it to hp smart.  ONce the printer is turned on, tap OK to refresh and then select printer again.

I have restarted both laptop and printer several times.

Tried to print from my cell phone, it sees the printer but then returns a message that the printer is offline.

I printed the HP Configuration Page - it shows Network status - ready - seems all in order.

The one ?able item is for Internet connection it shows - Not Connected (not sure that is an issue) but no idea if it needs to be changed or HOW to do that.

Please help - this is way too hard for a non-tech looking for plug and play

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the network settings: 1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. 4. Touch Yes

Once done, connect the printer to the Wi-Fi: From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless). 2. Touch ( Settings ). 3. Touch Wireless Settings. 4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard

Let me know if this helps.
