Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Connection Issues with HP ENVY 6022e All-in-One Printer

If your HP ENVY 6022e All-in-One printer's Wi-Fi connection has stopped working, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and re-establish the connection:

Steps to Reconnect Your Printer to Wi-Fi

  1. Restart Devices:

    • Turn off your printer, router, and computer. Wait for about 10 seconds before turning them back on, starting with the router, then the printer, followed by your computer.
  2. Ensure Printer Wireless is On:

    • Verify that the wireless light (usually a blue icon) on the printer is on. If it’s not, use the printer’s control panel to go to the Wireless Settings and turn on the Wi-Fi feature.
  3. Run Wireless Network Test:

    • Use the printer's control panel to print a Wireless Network Test report. This report can help identify the issue, providing specific recommendations.
  4. Reconfigure the Wireless Connection:

    • Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) Method:
      • If your router supports WPS, press the WPS button on the router.
      • On your printer, go to Setup > Network > Wi-Fi Protected Setup, and then choose Push Button. Follow the instructions to connect the printer.
    • Wireless Setup Wizard:
      • If WPS is not available, use the Wireless Setup Wizard through the printer's control panel to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Navigate to Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions to select your network and enter your password.
  5. Check Wireless Network Connection:

    • Make sure the wireless network your printer is trying to connect to matches the one on your computer. Verify the network name (SSID) and password are correct.
  6. Check Firewall Settings:

    • Sometimes, firewall settings can block the printer from connecting to the network. Temporarily disable your firewall and try the connection again. Remember to enable the firewall once the connection is restored.
  7. Use the HP Smart App:

    • Download and use the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone to help reconnect the printer to the network.
  8. Update Firmware:

    • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP website and follow the instructions to update if necessary.
  9. Contact HP Support:

    • If the problem persists, consider reaching out to HP Support for further assistance. Provide them with details from the Wireless Network Test report for a more accurate diagnosis.

Following these steps should help you re-establish your Wi-Fi connection with the HP ENVY 6022e All-in-One Printer.
