HP ENVY Pro 6452 All-in-One Printer

Shouldn't this be easy?

I changed my modem and hence my network name changed. After dozens of repeated attempts following every instruction I could find, I finally, after hours, got my printer connected to HP Smart.

I cannot however add it to my "Devices and printers" on the computer. After it asks me for the printer pin, which I enter immediately, it says "Your printer quit waiting. Try adding it again".

Why don't these things work out of the box?

Please help.

Hi @OceanCloud,

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the steps you've already tried to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi on both your PC and phone. To help resolve the issue, please follow the steps below—I hope this will get everything working smoothly!

Restore the printer to the original network settings:

1.  On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for at least three seconds.

2. Please uninstall the HP Smart app --> restart the Device, Wifi Router & Printer --> install it back and check

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
