HP ENVY 6452e All-in-One Printer

Hi all! We recently moved and now I’m having issues setting up our printer again.  I finally got it to connect to the internet on my laptop (but not my iPad, which is where I really need printing capabilities), but now it’s saying ”Printer Setup incomplete”.  It won’t give me any options to complete setup (which was already done because we used this printer at our last residence). Any suggestions??

It sounds like you're experiencing some difficulties with setting up your HP Envy 6452e printer after moving to a new location. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

 

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can help in resetting any temporary glitches.
  • Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Verify the Wi-Fi settings on your printer and make sure it matches the network your devices are connected to.
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi: On your printer, navigate to the wireless settings and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network. If your iPad is having trouble connecting, forget the old Wi-Fi network on the iPad and reconnect to the updated network.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can address compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
  • Restart Your Devices: Turn off and restart both your laptop and iPad. Sometimes, connectivity issues can be resolved with a simple device restart.
  • Check for HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app for printer setup. It's available for both Windows and macOS, as well as iOS and Android. Make sure to download the app on your iPad and follow the setup process.
