Here is the issue:
Whenever the printer turns off, on power up, the printer will not connect to any wireless network. When I try to manually connect it back to the network, it displays no WLAN networks available.
The only workaround is to turn off the wireless on the printer and turn it back on again. After that, the wireless starts working again. This printer is brand new; I find it frustrating that we get issues off the bat with a brand-new printer. My last resort is to send this back to HP and report an issue with it, but before that I want to exhaust any options I have left before having to send this back.
Printer Configuration
During the initial setup, I was able to successfully set this printer up and enroll into HP Instant Ink program, it was able to connect to my WLAN network correctly. The printer's firmware was updated to the latest version. The computers on my network were able to print to it with no issues.
This printer is set to automatically connect to my WLAN network, I run a WPA/WPA2-Personal network. Wi-Fi direct is disabled.
Please read below for the troubleshooting steps taken, I am a Senior IT Technician for the company I work with, I have already tried the usual troubleshooting steps when issues occur.
Below are the troubleshooting Steps taken when issued occurred:
Printer Troubleshooting
Printer was power cycled, issue persisted. (On another attempt, ensured that all power was drained from the printer before attempting another step)
Printer was factory reset and the issue returned after a power-cycle.
Network Troubleshooting
There are several wireless IoTs connected to my network and did not lose connection when the printer was experiencing network issues, therefore this issue is isolated to the printer.
Computer Troubleshooting
When the printer loses connection, the printer appears "offline" on all computers (Win10/11). All computers have the latest drivers for this printer, this issue is not caused by any computers, therefore this issue is isolated to the printer.
