Is it safe to print an iron-on transfer on the HP Envy 4520 Inkjet printer?  The printer specs say it’s a thermal inkjet printer and the transfer sheets I bought mention other printers that are not compatible because the printers “apply heat.”

Yes it the Iron on transfers are for an inkjet printer. Don't forget to mirror the image, set best print quality for printing, and take note you will consume a lot of ink.
