Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I have always had success scanning from my HP personal computer to the HP Envy Photo 6252 printer. Today, it did not work while I was buying a label to ship my item to a customer. The printer has a "?" on the printer screen. I can copy off of my printer and it prints good.

Hi @IkkiNorsk1954,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

If your HP Envy Photo 6252 printer is showing a "?" and is not allowing you to print a scan from your computer, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Check Connection:

  •  Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. If using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely connected. For wireless connections, verify that both your printer and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices

  • Turn off your printer and computer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on. This can resolve temporary issues.

Update Printer Software:

  •  Make sure you have the latest HP printer software and drivers installed. You can visit the HP Support website to download any updates for your specific printer model.

Check Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners.
  • Remove the HP Envy Photo 6252, then add it back.
  • Ensure Windows recognizes both print and scan functions.

Update Firmware

  • On the printer screen, go to Setup → Printer Maintenance → Update Printer.
  • Firmware updates often fix “?” errors.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
