Hi,

I am having a trouble with my HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer for the wireless setup.

I believe if I could do the firmware update, I can connect it to the WIFI.

However, HP website does not offer any firmware drive on the downloading page for this printer.

Can anyone tell me what I can do?

I also wonder this printer does not allow me to print without colored inks.

I am getting notification for not having some colored inks, but I do not want to buy one since I am going to join the instant ink plan.

Hi @smalltiger,

What is the current firmware version of your printer?

You may print a Printer Status Report and locate the firmware version listed on value 7:

https://support.hp.com/sk-en/document/c04083845

Is the printer currently connected to your WiFi or not? how is the blue wireless light? is it off, blinking or solid lit?

For the other question, the printer cannot be used with any missing color, see below support document:

Please clarify the information above, to better understand what steps should be tried next.
