Hi @Cristina-CJ

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it feels when the Bluetooth light keeps flashing and you’re unable to print wirelessly, especially after already trying resets. Thank you for the effort you’ve put in—it shows real persistence. Let’s go step by step to get your HP LaserJet MFP M29W connected properly.

Important Clarification

The LaserJet MFP M29W does not use Bluetooth for wireless printing. The flashing Bluetooth light can be confusing, but all printing and scanning functions are handled over Wi‑Fi. Bluetooth is only used for initial setup on some mobile devices. Once the printer is connected to Wi‑Fi, you can print wirelessly from your desktop or phone without relying on Bluetooth.

Steps to Connect via Wi‑Fi

Reset Wireless Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until the light blinks.
  • This clears old settings and prepares the printer for a fresh connection.

Reconnect to Wi‑Fi

  • On the printer, press the Wireless button once.
  • The wireless light should start blinking.
  • On your Windows 11 PC, open the HP App.
  • Select Add Printer and choose the LaserJet MFP M29W from the list.
  • Enter your Wi‑Fi password when prompted.

Confirm Network Band

  • The printer connects only to 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi.
  • If your router merges 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one name, temporarily split them and connect the printer to 2.4 GHz.

Assign IP Address Manually (if needed)

  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer (press and hold the Information button).
  • Note the IP address range of your router.
  • In the printer’s Embedded Web Server (enter the IP in a browser), set a manual IP within the router’s range (for example, 192.168.1.50 if your router is 192.168.1.1).

The flashing Bluetooth light is not an error—it simply indicates Bluetooth is active. Printing requires Wi‑Fi, so once you reconnect the printer to your 2.4 GHz network through the HP App, wireless printing should work normally.

Would you like me to also share how to run a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer? It prints a page showing exactly why the connection is failing, which can speed up the fix.
