Greetings @sa_1985

Welcome to HP Community and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you need assistance with configuring the printer on your network and devices.

Can you explain your network? (Are you using router, dual band router, hotspots, range extenders, etc)
May I know the version of Windows installed on your computer?

From the product control panel, press the Setup  button.
Open the Service menu.
Select the Restore Defaults option, and then touch the OK button. The product automatically restarts.

Make sure the printer is placed close to the router.

Now try to reconfigure the printer using the printer software and it should through sucessfully.

Let me know if this helped.

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Good Luck.

Hi @sa_1985,

Thank you for your response.

To set up a wireless connection for your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M126nw, please follow these steps:

WiFi Protected Setup (WPS):

  • Ensure your router supports WPS and has a WPS button available.
  • On the printer, navigate to the wireless menu by touching Setup, then Network, and then Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
  • Select the Push Button method.
  • Press and hold the WPS button on your router.
  • Return to your printer and confirm the operation by touching OK.

Ensure Printer Network Credentials Are Correct:

  • Double-check that the correct SSID and password are being used for your network.
  • If you are entering details manually, make sure the SSID on your printer matches exactly with your network's name, including any uppercase or lowercase characters.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer, go to the network settings and restore network defaults. Then attempt the WPS setup again.

Install Software:

  • Make sure to install the appropriate printer software on your computer. Use the installation disk that came with the printer or download the latest drivers and software from the Official HP® Support.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that both your printer and router are updated to the latest firmware versions to avoid any compatibility issues.

Try a Direct USB Connection for Setup:

  • Temporarily use a USB cable to connect your printer to the computer to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly and that there are no software issues. Once confirmed, attempt to reconnect wirelessly.

Check Network Security Settings:

  • Ensure no security settings, such as firewalls or MAC address filtering on the router, are preventing the printer from connecting to the network.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
