@thomastt2337, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP LaserJet M110w has lost its Wi-Fi connection, and it's not reconnecting automatically. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and reconnect it:

1. Restore Network Settings on the Printer

Since you've already tried holding the wireless button, let’s try a full reset:

  • Turn the printer off, then turn it back on.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button (blue LED) and the Cancel button (red X) together for about 5-10 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking. This resets the printer's network settings.

2. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Once the network settings are reset, you need to reconnect it to Wi-Fi. You can do this in two ways:

A. Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) (If your router supports it)

  1. Press and hold the WPS button on your router for a few seconds until it enters pairing mode.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (blue LED) on the printer for about 5 seconds until it starts blinking.
  3. Wait for about 2 minutes—the printer should automatically reconnect.

B. Using HP Smart App on Another Device (Recommended)

If WPS doesn’t work, set up Wi-Fi manually:

  1. Download HP Smart on a phone or computer (if you haven’t already).
    • On Linux, you might not have HP Smart, so try using HP Print and Scan via HPLIP.
  2. Open HP Smart on a Windows/macOS PC, Android, or iPhone.
  3. Select "Set up a new printer".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to your home network.

3. USB Printing (If Wi-Fi Doesn't Work)

Since you mentioned USB printing is also failing, try:

Install HPLIP (HP Linux Imaging and Printing)

  1. Open a terminal and run: sudo apt update && sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui
  2. Then run: hp-setup -b usb
  3. Follow the on-screen setup instructions.

Check Printer Status
lpstat -p -d

If the printer is listed but not printing, restart the print service: sudo systemctl restart cups

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
