Hi @Romai,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating this is. Your HP LaserJet M139–M142 showing offline with a flashing blue light means it’s stuck trying to connect to Wi-Fi, and you’ve probably tried the basics already. Let’s go through the most effective steps to get it back online.

What the Flashing Blue Light Means

  • The printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode or has lost connection.
  • It’s not connected to your wireless network yet.

Recommended Fix

Step 1: Restart Everything

  • Power off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Restart your router.
  • Power the printer back on.

Step 2: Reconnect Using HP App

  1. Download HP app (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android):
👉 HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site
  2. Open HP app → Add Printer.
  3. When the blue light is flashing, the printer is ready for setup.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to connect to your Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Manual Wi-Fi Reset

  • On the printer:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the light blinks fast.
    • This resets the network settings.
  • Then retry setup via the HP app.

Step 4: Update Firmware

If Still Offline

  • Check your router:
    • Ensure the 2.4 GHz band is enabled (LaserJet MFPs don’t support 5 GHz).
    • Disable MAC filtering or add the printer’s MAC address.
  • If nothing works, contact HP Support for advanced help

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
