HP LaserJet Pro M15w Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I'm having some issues with connecting my new laptop to my printer. For this thread needs, I'm going to list my hardware I do use with this setup. That is:

1. laserjet m15w printer

2. orange funbox 3.0 router / decoder

3. laptop asus with win 10 64bit

4. laptop HP with win 11 64 bit

This said, I'd like to mention my printer configuration also. My printer (device #1 from the list) is hardwired to my router (device #2 from the list) by USB-A <-> USB-B cable. On my old notebook (device #3 from the list) I installed the drivers and set wireless connection to the printer as presented in the guide link below. It's in polish, but it has english subtitles. It seemed to be easy to do on windows 10 64 bit (device #3). Now, I'm having some issues with new notebook (device #4), which operates on OS windows 11 64 bit. I've installed drivers as usuall and then I did set up wifi configuration as presented on the movie. It has added new printer as "gateway-usb-printer na http://funbox:631", I could find my printer and install the drivers, but I cannot print via wireless (the error shows "printer couldn't print the file name_of_file". I can print while hardwired to the printer itself, though. The funny thing is that both printing via calbe and wireless works on notebook with windows 10.

Does anyone having similar issue? How can it be resolved? Thanks ind advance for your help!

Hi@pawelwolanczuk,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Wi-Fi issues with the HP LaserJet Printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • First, try restarting your computer, printer and wireless router. To check if your printer is connected to your network: Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report.
  • Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer. From the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings. Get the network name and password. Go to Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer for more information.
