I have moved and have a new internet provider and router. The printer will not connect to the internet, saying the passphrase is incorrect. I've reset the default settings, etc. I've searched these forums and it seems like the only thing that works is a hard NVRAM reset, that you can only get the instructions for by requesting them. Please send me the instructions so that I can do the hard reset and hopefully get my awesome printer to connect and work again.

Watch the reset video. After resetting, you generally have 2 hours to complete the setup. Decide if you want to connect the printer to the router or to print directly to the printer and bypass the router.
Many HP and other OEM printers have problems with the router when the router has two bands and both bands have the same name (SSID). Log into the modem and rename one of the bands. Alternately, contact your ISP and have them rename a band.
Or simply use Wi-Fi direct.
If English is not your native language or if you wish to get additional information not covered below, then use the HP and Microsoft support assistants. The latest HPSA supports 36 languages and can be downloaded here. Microsoft's AI assistant is in the latest Windows 10 and 11 releases and there are instructions here on how to enable the AI. Microsoft's AI assistant (Copilot) has a microphone button and supports natural language processing. |

You have to enable Wi-fi direct in the printer before it'll put the signal out.

On rare occasions you may need to do a reset

There may be more than one way to do the reset as explained here

Let me know if you have a flex system (Wi-Fi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated for routers.

Thank you for this detailed response. I did click on one video but it was for windows and I have a Mac.
HP you make good printers. But it really should NOT be this difficult, complex, frustrating, and time consuming to get a printer to work.
I found a USB cable and connected the printer to my laptop and now I can print.
Perhaps one day when I have many hours to kill and am on some sort of mellowing medicine that precludes frustration I will attempt the solutions you propose.
I have not yet re-set up my T-100 design jet printer and am now dreading it worse than the plague as it's too far from the computer to use a cable to connect. I pray to the printer gods that maybe it will just work! Crazy I know...

I totally missed that you had a Mac, my mistake. The videos that show how to reset are still good.
I have very little MacOS experience and none with newer M1 and M2 type ARM CPUs. I do know that HP Smart for Mac is 64 bit and will not run on 32bit MacOS.
These printers are blessed by Apple
Your Pro 200 and the DesignJet T120 is on that list. Your T100 uses same the same software as the T120 so it should be OK.
