HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2606sdw Printer

Our organization's WiFi supports WPA-2 Authentication. We purchased an HP Laster Jet Tank MFP 2606 two printer. It supports WPA2 personal authentication. But it doesn't support WPA2 enterprise authentication. Now, we are not able to use the printer.

Question 1: Does HP's Jet Tank MFP 2606 support WPA2 enterprise authentication?
Question 2: What HP Printer Model supports WPA2 enterprise authentication?

Hi @Kandeepan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing authentication issues while setting up Wi-Fi on your HP LaserJet MFP 2606 printer, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Ensure you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password during the setup process. Double-check for any typos or errors. It's recommended to use uppercase and lowercase letters correctly as passwords are case-sensitive.
  • Confirm that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network. If the signal is weak, try moving the printer closer to the router.
  • Restart both your printer and your Wi-Fi router. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
  • If you have multiple Wi-Fi networks in your vicinity, make sure you are connecting to the correct one. Verify the SSID and select the appropriate network during the setup process.
  • Check if there are any MAC address filtering settings enabled on your Wi-Fi router. If MAC address filtering is enabled, ensure that your printer's MAC address is added to the allowed devices list.
  • Update the firmware of your printer to the latest version. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and look for firmware updates. Installing the latest firmware can address known issues and improve compatibility.
  • If the authentication issue persists, try connecting your printer to the Wi-Fi network using an alternative method. Some printers offer Wi-Fi Direct or WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) options for connecting without relying on the traditional network authentication process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
