I recently switched to fiber internet and get this error code. Tried power cycling, power drain, cartridge removal, and I can’t get far enough on boot up to even be able to update the firmware

Hi @hediedforus,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code B8059726 on your HP M479fdw printer may suggest an issue that needs more than just a basic troubleshooting approach. Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue:

Power Reset:

  • Completely turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.

  • Wait for at least 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cable.

  • Turn on the printer to check if the issue persists.

Firmware Update Attempt:

  • Although you mentioned difficulty with boot-up, if possible, try updating the firmware. You can do this by connecting the printer directly to a computer using a USB cable and using the HP Support Official HP® Support to download the latest firmware.

Check Network Settings:

  • Since you recently switched to fibre internet, ensure that the network settings are correctly configured for your new connection. Sometimes, network changes might affect the printer settings.

Factory Reset:

  • If you can access the printer’s menu before it encounters the error, attempt a factory reset to restore default settings. This may help eliminate any configuration issues introduced by the network change.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
