HP Officejet 5740 All In One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Everything was fine before. Then, I upgraded my internet plan to a higher plan. I changed my network name and password. For the first time, my HP Officejet was able to connect to wifi without a problem. For some odd reasons, after I turned on my printer, it kept looking for a network. So, I entered the network details again over and over again. And still, unable to connect. I double checked the password thinking that I mistyped the password but still - no success.

I checked and printed the "Test results" . It says "Unable to connect to your wireless router. MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup"

I went to my shaw internet settings connectivity and checked the devices that can connect to my network. I can see the printer's device name is there and waiting for connection. Furthermore, in the test result page, I can see the "Settings-> No Filtering-> Fail" . I wonder if there's a way to check the filtering settings in the printer's setup.  I dont even see any filtering in Shaw connection settings.

What else I need to do? Need your help.

Thanks.

Hi @rainbow69,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving an "Unable to connect to your wireless router. MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup" error

Please contact your ISP and ask them to add the printer's mac address to the router's mac filtering menu.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
