My internet router doesn't support WPS connectivity and I can't connect my printer to the Wifi. When I connect through usb to my pc and open HP smart app, it says "Not supported" in Network information. is there any other way I can connect it to my wifi?

Hi @Asif1414,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your router doesn't support WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can still connect your HP OfficeJet 4620 to your Wi-Fi network using other methods. Here’s how you can do it.
Using the Printer's Control Panel
- Turn on your printer and ensure it’s in a ready state.
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Wi-Fi button (it might look like a wireless signal icon) to access the wireless settings.
- Select Setup or Network Setup (this option might vary based on your printer’s model).
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted and confirm the settings.
Using the HP Smart App
- Download and install the HP Smart App on your PC or mobile device if you haven’t already.
- Open the HP Smart App and choose Add Printer.
- The app should detect your printer and guide you through the setup process. Follow the instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Using HP Printer Software
- Connect your printer to your PC via USB.
- Download and install the latest version of HP Printer Software from the HP website if you haven’t done so.
- Run the HP Printer Software on your PC and choose the Wireless Setup option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Manual IP Address Configuration
If you’re comfortable with configuring IP settings manually:
- On your PC, access your router’s settings and note the IP range and subnet mask.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Network Setup and select TCP/IP Configuration or Manual IP Setup.
- Enter an IP address that is within your network’s IP range, subnet mask, and gateway. This should match the configuration of your router.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
